Our History

RI began its journey as a non-profit and a member of Assistance Dog International (ADI).  We have since acknowledged a need in the industry to provide the opportunity for an individual to purchase an assistance dog.  RI evolved in to a LLC in December of last year.

This approach accomplishes several things.
  • team-trainingFirst and foremost, an individual can buy an Assistance Dog when it is determined that a dog is the right thing for the client, he or she will gets the next dogs available that will match their specific needs.  This allows the funds available to them to go to directly to the purchase of an assistance dog.
  • Clients feel more in control of the process of partnering with an Assistance Dog, while we make every effort to provide an intimate experience.
  • This allows us to run a more streamline Organization.   Every dollar spent by the client is used in raising and training our dogs.   Larger non-profit spend well over 20,000 to train and place an assistance dog.

Through our personal matching process we place 9 to 12 dogs a year.  Please check out Our Dogs and Partnering to learn about the process.  Call or Email us so we can talk about what it will take for you or someone you love to be partnered with the right canine ensuring greater independence while providing purpose and unconditional love.

Our dogs meet or exceed the standard set by Assistance Dogs International.
